My name is Gayle and I'm from Melbourne, Victoria. I'm 40 years old, I'm happily married to my best friend (I was lucky to marry my childhood sweetheart) and have one child, who's now all grown up.

Books....Now that's definitely my addiction. I've always been a reader, but it wasn't until I read the 50 Shades trilogy (yes I know it sounds so cliché) that my love for reading simply took off. My favorite genres....Now that's a little tricky. As a blogger I read so many, but my ultimate favorites would have to be dark erotica, dark, dark romance and taboo romance (is that even one?)......But I also love the ugly cry, tear your heart out reads.

Bloggers From Down Under....It started with an idea. My girlfriend Mel and I shared our love for books. We would read the same things, share recommendations and just loved chatting about books. We decided hey what the heck lets give blogging a go....That was just on 2 years a go and we haven't looked back. We attribute our success to our hard work, determination, learning from our mistakes and ultimately making sure that we can promote as many authors possible. There are so many amazing authors out there and we do our very best to share as many and as often as we can. Authors create magic, they allow us to step away from our own troubles, even for just a little while. They are my heroes and I couldn't think of anything better than to be a blogger and help them out.

FYM.....I don't even know how to articulate into words how excited, thrilled and truly honoured I am to be able to work alongside Penny, Angela and Tina at FYM2017. To have my blog selected...I'm speechless. The girls are simply amazing and have welcomed both Mel and I with open arms. To be able to assist these beautiful women....It just leaves me speechless...For that I say thank you girls... So on that note bring on FYM2017.....It's going to be super awesome and so much more.

My name is Melinda and I’m 34 from Melbourne, Victoria. I have 4 beautiful children that are growing up way too fast for my liking. My world revolves around my children, my blog and my books.

I haven’t always been big on reading. I think it evolved more from the 50 shades trilogy…. (Yes I still love 50 shades). After reading it I got into the swing of reading again and now books have become my passion. I love dark reads with a great cry, erotica and will read pretty much all genres.

There is nothing better than being taken on a journey and a roller coaster ride with a book or finding a new little author. It’s like finding a diamond amongst the rough. Blogging was an idea Gayle and myself had. We loved reading similar books and sharing that passion with her about books is how Bloggers From Down Under became a reality just under 2 years ago, and what a roller coaster that has been.

We have put so much blood, sweat and tears into this blog that it became our baby. Never did we think we would get to where we are today with our blog. Our blog to me hasn’t been just about promoting authors and reviewing or even meeting great people who have now became friends. Our blog has kept me sane and has gotten me through some really tough times. It has been my go to place by giving me something to look forward too, waking up to everyday even when life was sending a tornado my way. I love that we can help authors promote their books and their pride and joy on our page and that we can share some amazing work with our followers.

When you get a message from a follower telling us that they read a book that we reviewed and they loved it and are so thankful for sharing it makes our day, or when an author sends you a message just to say thank you for sharing their work makes your year knowing that they took just 2 minutes out of their day to say thanks and show their appreciation really makes you feel like you’re doing a great job. FYM 2017….

What can I say other than wow!! We went to FYM 2015 and we had a blast and now to be a part of this amazing event you simply can’t describe how excited we are. We are truly honored to be a part of a fabulous event. Penny, Tina and Angela have welcomed us in and have been such an amazing help getting us set up and on the right track. Bring on FYM2017!

Fictionally yours, Melbourne
